Solar process heat at 1500 C and above

Our invention enables the design of solar receivers capable of delivering heat at T>1500 °C with high efficiency. This paves the way towards the solarization of key industries. We show the prototype of our solar device performing the calcination of limestone, i.e., the most polluting step in cement production, with integrated CO2 capture.
