A healthy world through sustainable food systems

Our mission is to contribute to the key challenges of food and nutrition security, environmental health, and social well-being through scientific research, education, and outreach across the food system.

The question of how to feed the world in a way that ensures human health, environmental sustainability and social well-being is one of the defining and most complex global challenges of our time. We at the World Food System Center aim at playing a significant role in addressing these challenges.

We act as a platform to bring together our members’ multidisciplinary expertise with strategically relevant external partners and to provide the leadership and foresight needed to create innovative solutions. 

We strive to work together in partnerships to achieve what no partner could achieve on their own. We established a network of both strategic and collaborative partners from industry and foundations who support our vision and mission through programs and projects. This partnership approach has been critical to the Center’s success.
